Softball Skills Camp

Sign your daughter up NOW for a 6 week softball fundamental clinic!
Hosted by the Super Mite Coaching Staff

focusing on:
  • fielding
  • catching
  • throwing
  • hitting
  • sliding
This clinic will run Saturdays, from 10:30-11:45 or 11:45-1:00.
(February 18, 25 and March 10, 17, 24, 31)

Location:BC Christian Academy
(1019 Fernwood Ave)& Weather permitting; one extra practice @ McLean Park

Equipment required:glove and batting helmet
Cost: $45

Space is limited to 12 players per session, so REGISTER early!

What: Join us at our Softball Fun Fair, where you can come to register in person, meet the Executive and learn some tricks from our Rep Teams!
We'll also have activity stations where you can practice throwing, catching and hitting the ball!

Learn to Play!

2012-01-22 --
Our LTP division is open to children born in 2006 & 2007.
This parent participation program teaches our future PoCo Minor Softball stars the fundamentals of Softball and the value of Teamwork!

Learn to Play will start at the PCMSA Ice Breaker Tournament- April 15! Regular sessions will run Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6pm-7pm. The $130 registration fee includes 20 sessions, a jersey with your child's name and favorite number, and a PCMSA Softball cap - both of which you will keep at the of the season!

Our game nights will be changing for all "C" divions teams for the 2012 season. This change was made in order to align District 14 with all of the other districts in the Lower Mainland.

CANpitch Clinic

2012-01-10 --
PCMSA is organising a 6 week CANpitch clinic for pitchers with Canadian Softball Olympian, Kaila Holtz.
Date: Starting Wednesday, February 1st
Time: The one hour sessions will fall between 7 - 8, 8 - 9 or 9 - 10 depending on skill level of the player.

Tax Receipts now Available from 2011 Season

2012-01-07 -- As of January 1, 2007, payments made towards eligible expenses for participation in a program of physical activity may be claimed for credit on your 2011 Income Tax return. Amount may be claimed for payments made in 2011 only. Amounts paid in 2010 do not qualify even if all or part of the activity takes place in 2011. To be eligible for the Children's Fitness Tax Credit, the fees must be paid for a child who is under 16 at any time in the year. The fees must be related to the cost of registration or membership in an eligible program of physical activity. Canada Revenue Agency has identified Softball as a sport/activity which is eligible for the tax credit.

If you would like an Official Registration Receipt from the 2011 Season, please send your requests directly to brittany.leavold@pocominorsoftball.com - please allow up to 3-5 days for your request to be processed & when emailing, please be sure to include the Name and division for each child you had registered last year, and the name of the parent applying for the receipt.
