2002 Ravens win GOLD!!!

Congratulations to the PoCo Ravens 2002 A team that won Gold in the North Delta U-11 Squirt A tournament on April 27 - 28. The Ravens went undefeated winning six games in a row, culminating in a 15-7 win over the Ridge Meadows Pride in the final game. Our PoCo Raven girls showed their stuff by out scoring the competition 69-16. Well done Ravens !

03Ravens bring home 1st place!!

Congratulations to the 03 Ravens for winning their first tournament of the season this weekend in Surrey! These girls battled hard in the Fleetwood U12C tournament, winning 5 of 6 games- showing everyone just how much of a "Team" these friends are! After beating an American team thru rain & shine in the playoffs, the 03Ravens went onto face the Fleetwood Extreme in an intense nail biting extra inning- one run victory!
Congratulations to all of the players; Alannah, Alexa, Abby, Carmen, Ella, Emily, Kaylyn, Kelsey, Kiara, Rachel & Tessa and coaches; Dave McCollum & Colleen Kennedy-Spence!!
Icebreaker Summary
2013-04-15 -- What a weekend! From sleet to sun we saw it all! At the end of the weekend we hung in there and celebrated softball like only Poco can do :)

Did you notice the new pork sliders/coleslaw and caesar chicken wraps this weekend? At the concession we have Michelle and Val. For over 8 years these ladies have been putting in 12+ hours each tournmanet day to bring you the best of our concession (volunteers always welcome!). Thank you Val and Michelle!
Not only do players earn recognition for being most valuable on the field, they can be recongized off the field too. Two ladies were recongized this weekend for their commitment to ball, our association and hard work. Each of these girls earned their own Icebreaker 2013 MVP shirt.

Ravens Bantam B go Undefeated!
2013-04-14 -- Congrats to the ladies of the Bantam B Ravens this weekend. After Coquitlam declined to play us in our own icebreaker we managed to get into the Richmond Icebreaker tournament. Riding hot bats all weekend we played 2 games Sat vs Vancouver Lakers and Richmond Islanders 98 winning 15-4 and 6-3 respectively. We carried the great batting over to Sun facing Cloverdale 98 in the morning winning 9-4 and ending the day vs Richmond Islanders 97 with a win 11-6. We saw solid pitching from both Lindsey and Brooke who took 2 games each. The coaching staff is very pleased with all the girls play so far this season and are excited to see where this season goes.
