2019 Registration

Port Coquitlam Minor Softball

Welcome to Port Coquitlam Minor Softball! We offer opportunities for girls and boys to develop skills in a team based environment that encourages fair play, and FUN! We are based out of McLean Park, with games also played at Gates Park. Please come on down and check us out! We love having everyone come out to play!

A Letter from the President

Dear Poco Minor Softball Parents and Players,

As we enter our 2019 ball season, on behalf of the association, I would like to welcome back all of our returning players and families and would also like to extend a warm welcome to all of our new players and families. We look forward to a very successful 2019 season!

The association also welcomes Mike Bird who is taking over the Learn to Play program. If your child is enrolled in this program we urge you all to participate and help make it a fun and successful season for all the participants.

Our biggest goals this year include:
● Providing quality programs while keeping costs as low as possible.
● Emphasis on developing softball players with character.
● Having fun while working hard and learning the great game of softball.

I strongly encourage all members of Poco Minor Softball to volunteer and try to contribute to the organization in any way possible. There are many opportunities for volunteers to become involved and make a difference, so please do not hesitate to contact your team manager/coach or one of our committee members if you would like to help out and join a great team.

On behalf of the Port Coquitlam Minor Softball Association and our entire staff of volunteers, I wish every player and every family in our club, a rewarding and fun
filled season.
Bob Buchan
Poco Minor Softball President

Can you believe it's May already?

We have a tonne of opportunities for volunteering ready and available. We DO NOT want to cash a single cheque this season, so claim your spot TODAY! The earlier you do, ensures that you get the spot you want! I highly recommend, that if you do not want to miss any of your child's games, then choose a tournament they are not in. For example, House families choose the Mothers Day bash, or Lower Mainland cup, and Rep families choose the Wrap Up, then you are 100% not going to miss a moment of the action!

The link to volunteer is below, and please note:
due to scheduling these times may change, spots may be added or deleted.

The fabulous tradition of the Rotary Port Coquitlam May Day Parade is happening again, the one that half the city watches, and half the city participated in is BACK!

Mark your calendar, Saturday, May 11th. Street Closures begin at 9:00 am, Parade starts at 11, so please be at our muster point by 10:30am. Bonus point is you bring a small thing of bubbles for your child to blow while they walk, they get a kick out of this!
We hope to see your child's happy face! Come in uniform, and march with us, Cheer! Show your POCO pride. Please make sure to pack a water bottle and sunscreen, as some years have gotten quite warm.
Our location is C5, Central West (see attached map)
*This does not count for volunteer hours. Just for smiles, and fun. Please make sure to pack a water bottle and sunscreen, as some years have gotten quite warm.

Port Coquitlam Minor Softball

We are just about to kick off the 2019 season, and we are hard at work getting teams organized, and tournaments set up. In order to make our season successful, and keep costs down for families, we depend on YOUR help to get things done.  As stipulated when you registered, we require a MINIMUM of 4 HOURS volunteering PER FAMILY to be put in before the end of the season. There are no     exceptions unless you have discussed this with our volunteer coordinator.

Keep an eye on this website under the "Volunteer Spots" on the menu bar.

We thank you in advance for your amazing commitment  to our association, and making the season great for our kids!
